This is kinda mundane when compared to most posts, but I'm ready for a bed box, and I wondered if anyone has a factory box and what they thought of it. Thanks in advance for your .02 worth.

The factory sliding tool box is pricey, but well made and gives me the flexibility to easily remove it to gain bed length for carrying motorcycles. I've always had long bed trucks, and with a tool box there's still room for motorcycles. And there might be room for bikes and a toolbox with the Titan and bed extender, but I don't like them teetering so far to the rear. So the sliding factory toolbox accommodates me because I can easily remove it from the truck, or securely store valuables for all the other times when I'm not carrying bikes.

Not to make a long story, but if you have a special need in mind, you can probably justify it. Otherwise a regular tool box or tool chest is lots cheaper. But it's a nice compliment to the utili-trac system, and a major feature for me.

Yea, I really like it also. Well made. I live on a dirt road and the inside stays clean and dry. It keeps alot of the clutter out of the cab and out of the way. I also lke that it doesn't sit on the bottom of the bed so that longer items can slide underneath it.

While surfing around I found a new concept in pickup storage boxes. This one attaches near the tail gate and swings out for ease of access and use as a table.

I have actually been thinking of that exact one. I saw it on a website once and cannot remember where. Being only 5'6" tall, I have a hard time just reaching over the side of the bed to move the bed divider. Having a toolbox that would slide out at the rear would be great.

I just got a slider box from Nissan, and love it. I was able to get a pretty good price on it with some "dealer dollars" owed to me ($225). If I were paying full price, I'd probably have a Husky or similar box.

Check JC WHitney, I think as they have some tool boxes that mount to the side of the bed between the back of the wheel well and the tail gate. Granted in that position, it lookl like it would interfere with the util-tracks if you have them.
These boxes are narrow and have sliding drawers covered with a door.

I wouldn't mine ordering one if I could look at it first. Paying 485.00 for a box sight unseen? Asks a lot of faith for a company that hasn't given me much reason to trust.
So much for the box. I decided to get the box from Nissan . The paint was peeling off of it . The dealer sent it back, :domohit: I'll go with a DeeZee or something.
